USHCC National Hispanic Leadership & Business Awards.

Before an audience of 1,200 Hispanic leaders and entrepreneurs the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC) presented their prestigious and highly coveted, National Hispanic Leadership and Business Excellence Awards, during the awards gala at the USHCC 25th National Annual Convention and Business Expo, in Austin, Texas.

“It is exciting to see the thriving Hispanic entrepreneurial spirit at its best, as these fine organizations and individuals strive for the highly coveted and competitive national awards,” said David Lizarraga, newly installed Chairman of the USHCC. “I am proud to congratulate each national award winner on behalf of the USHCC. Receiving such an award is not only a great honor it will also open new doors of opportunity for each recipient.”

To recognize the contributions and achievements of local entrepreneurs, chambers and corporate and government advocates, each year the USHCC calls for entries for its National Hispanic Leadership and Business Excellence Awards. The winners are selected by an independent panel of judges from the public and private sector.

The USHCC announced this year’s National Hispanic Leadership and Business Excellence Awards winners:

SMALL HISPANIC CHAMBER OF THE YEAR: Elizabeth Quiros, San Mateo County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Region I

MEDIUM HISPANIC CHAMBER OF THE YEAR: Armando Ojeda, Michigan Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Region IV

LARGE HISPANIC CHAMBER OF THE YEAR: Eliza May, Greater Austin Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Region III

HISPANIC BUSINESS MAN OF THE YEAR: Julian Claudio Nabozny, Owner/Operator, McDonald’s, Phoenix, Arizona, Region II

HISPANIC BUSINESS WOMAN OF THE YEAR: Nina Vaca, CEO, Pinnacle Technical Resources, Inc., Region III

GOVERNMENT HISPANIC BUSINESS ADVOCATE OF THE YEAR: Lydia Aranda, Director, Small Business Services, Arizona Department of Commerce Governor’s Small Business Advocate, Phoenix, Arizona, Region II
