V-ME brings viewers to Mercedes Benz NY Fashion Week.

Videofashion Network and V-me will take viewers inside the glamour and excitement of the fashion world with an original co-production: V-me Presents New York Fashion Week Autumn/Winter 2010-11. The two one-hour Spanish-language specials will focus on how Fashion Week works, showcase select New York Fashion Week designers, present their brand-new Autumn-Winter 2010-2011 runway collections, and profile some of the most in-demand models of the season. The programs will be broadcast at 8 PM EST Thursday, February 18th and Friday, February 19th on V-me. Videofashion will be handling the international sales and distribution of the programs.

The first one-hour special will feature the latest runway offerings from fashion prodigy and designer of First Lady Michelle Obama’s Inaugural Ball gown Jason Wu, iconic New York designers Diane von Furstenberg and Donna Karan, and master of American couture Ralph Rucci. The first program also looks at the past and present of Hollywood favorite and Venezuelan native Carolina Herrera and introduces Dominican beauty Arlenis Sosa. The second hour-long special will include the latest runway collections from uptown fashion darling Marc Jacobs, the always-quirky Betsey Johnson, another First Lady favorite and Chilean-born designer Maria Cornejo, and embodiment of sophistication, Dominican-American designer Oscar de la Renta. The second program also revisits the career of Cuban-American designer Narciso Rodriguez before previewing his new fall collection, and introduces catwalk stunner Anna Selezneva.

Guillermo Sierra, V-me’s SVP and Chief Content Officer comments, “This collaboration marks V-me’s third consecutive year of presenting the only consistent Fashion Week coverage for the Hispanic audience. This year we couldn’t be happier working with the seasoned fashion programming professionals from Videofashion to inform our audience as to how Fashion Week functions and to highlight the work of some of New York’s greatest designers and models.”

“A recent survey reported that Hispanic women remain confident with respect to the economy and on average are more likely to purchase big ticket items such as clothing than Non-Hispanic women. Videofashion is delighted to have the opportunity to work with V-me to bring New York Fashion Week to the important, ever-expanding Hispanic market in the US. We also look forward to distributing these programs to Spanish-language markets outside of the U.S.,” says Marlene Cardin, Videofashion President and CEO.
