VH1 Latin America Expands Reach.
August 29, 2004
VH1 Latin America announced that it has increased its reach by 40% to total 3 million pay TV households throughout Latin America since it’s initial launch in Mexico in April 2004. The network is now present in more than 14 countries with additional distribution to be announced. Starting September 15th, SKY Mexico offers VH1 as part of its basic programming package, adding to already existing distribution through Cablevision and PCTV and therefore completing the network’s presence in Mexico’s Pay TV systems.
“The response to VH1 in Latin America has been incredible and reaffirms the void in adult entertainment programming that we set out to fill”, said Pierluigi Gazzolo, Senior VP of Distribution, MTV Networks Latin America. “MSO partners throughout the region are acknowledging the value of VH1 and the quality of programming it offers their subscribers”.
