Video Rola Debuts New Programming.

Video Rola has unveiled its new 2005-2006 lineup that features 41 new and original production hours per week. To complement the new shows, the network, which reaches over 6 million viewers in both countries, has enhanced its familiar on-screen guitar image that now encompasses speakers and is set in various “fiesta backgrounds”. The image makeover is a response to a high volume of positive viewer feedback for Video Rola’s party-oriented shows.

Video Rola’s new productions, filmed at its studio complex in Guadalajara, Mexico, which accounts for 60% of U.S. Spanish-language album sales – address the evolving tastes of thousands of viewers who have requested more interaction with the channel on- screen. En Cabina, a show simulating Mexican radio deejays spinning tunes for viewers debuts on June 27, 2005, and Video Rola has moved its hit daily show, Tú Decides, a program where viewers rate new music releases, to the coveted prime-time slot of 9:00pm ET. And Las Dedicadas, a live call-in and music dedication show, has been expanded to two shows daily.

“Our viewers have responded so well to our cultural, party-oriented focus and ‘Music for Your Eyes’ tagline that we decided to embody this passion in our on- screen image,” said Video Rola General Manager Jorge Tanaka. “It’s quick, hip and culturally relevant – our research keeps showing we’re adding new viewers such as channels surfers to our core audience even when there is no video on-air.”

“Video Rola doesn’t just bring Mexican Regional music to a huge fan base, it also defines the passion of this genre for millions of viewers,” stated Jorge Fiterre of Condista, Video Rola’s U.S. distribution representative. “As the music grows, so does Video Rola.”

Video Rola is currently distributed by several multichannel service operators, including Adelphia, Charter, Comcast, Cox, NCTC, and Time Warner Cable.
