Viva Los Dodgers.

The Viva Los Dodgers Festival has become a highly anticipated annual event in the Los Angeles Latino community…but not by accident. The Dodgers created this festival seven years ago, and were committed from the start to growing it into one of the premier festivals for the market. The numbers now speak for themselves, as this star-studded festival, which had 1,500 people in attendance in 1998, now attracts a near capacity crowd of 10,000, and a long list of sponsors including Coca-Cola, Toyota and Kraft.

“Viva Los Dodgers is our biggest showcase and a highly visible demonstration of the commitment that the Dodger organization has historically made to the Latino community in Los Angeles,” said Dodger Vice President of Sales, Sergio del Prado.

The Dodgers have long recognized their large and growing base ofLatino fans and have been at the forefront in demonstrating their gratitude throughout the years with various programs and services that cater to the Los Angeles community and all its diversity. The Dodgers were trailblazers in 1958 when they became the first Major League team to introduce Spanish-language broadcasts and market directly to the Latino community.Hall of Fame broadcaster Jaime Jarrín joined the team in 1959 and has remained in the booth and an integral part of the local landscape ever since. The Dodgers also established the first Hispanic-themed ticket promotion during DíaDe Los Niños, where every adult ticket purchased comes with a free child’s ticket.
