Vme announce ‘Libros Para Mi Escuelita’ Book Contest.

Vme network and Santillana USA Publishing Company announce the kickoff of the 2nd annual “Libros Para Mi Escuelita” Book Contest. The nationwide contest encourages parents, students and teachers to create a video entry stating why their school is in need of Spanish and bilingual reading materials. Evaluated on their creativity, persuasiveness and presentation, entries will be voted upon by each school and its surrounding community. Families, friends and neighbors will have a chance to vote for their school every day from November 9th until November 25th.  The three schools that have the highest number of votes will win a total of $10,000 worth of Spanish-language education materials from Santillana USA.

“Vme is proud to partner with Santillana USA for a second year in a row to help bring students the highest quality language education materials, and in doing so, contributing to their overall scholastic success,” said Alvaro Garnica, Vme’s general manager. “Vme’s intelligent, innovative and inspirational programming and community projects continue to embody our core beliefs of entertaining and educating families in Spanish.”

“Santillana USA is thrilled to continue its alliance with Vme and up-hold our commitment to providing students with access to the best quality Spanish-language materials,” said Miguel Tapia, President of Santillana USA. “Our hope is to help ensure the future achievement and overall academic success of students in the U.S. by granting them the necessary tools to do so.”
