Vme Kids launches in Puerto Rico.

Vme Kids premiered on WIPR’s over the air channel 6.3 with cable carriage on the basic digital level of both Choice and Liberty Cable systems reaching throughout the island (Choice cable channel 44; Liberty Cablevision 70.)
With Spanish TV’s largest slate of preschool programming already on air, Vme Kids is the exclusive Spanish-language home for Barney™, Bob the Builder™, Angelina Ballerina™ and Thomas & Friends™. With the addition of these shows to its extraordinary library of programs that include Plaza Sesamo, LazyTown and many others, Vme Kids is home to the six most popular children’s franchises in the world.
Created for kids ages 2-6 and co-viewing parents and caregivers, Vme Kids is home to award-winning children’s shows that empower kids with innovative, entertaining, curriculum-based content. Vme Kids is a safe, fun and engaging place offering no direct response ads or other non-relevant and potentially inappropriate content. Vme uses this valuable air-time to further help young children and their families in fun and engaging ways.
Viewers of Vme Kids in Puerto Rico will also be treated to a lively, entertaining series of interstitial programming called Mundo Peque, which features young children and the hosts from Vme’s popular programs like TuBebé, Planeta Feroz, Vme Cocina, MiMascota, En Pantalla and Nota Musical showing different and easy ways for parents to engage and teach children at home. Each host is featured in ten 60 second capsules offering a wide variety of content to engage children and their families. These episodes will introduce dual language learning and fun ways to stay healthy and well. WIPR will add newly created interstitial programming in English to continue to introduce this young audience to learning in both languages; a key element of WIPR’s success.
