VOXXI launches sports section.

VOXXI, a site for the acculturated Latino providing relevant news, insightful analysis and thought-provoking blogs, continues its growth with the launch of the sports section covering soccer, baseball, football, basketball, boxing, as well as others sports and sport-related news.

VOXXI has tapped Jose Oliveros as the new sports editor. Oliveros was the head editor of Sports at Terra Networks for five years where he covered the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, the 2009 NBA All-Star in Phoenix, the 2008 Beijing Olympics, the 2006 World Cup, 2007 MLS Cup in Washington D.C.

Oliveros said: “Latinos are heavy sports enthusiasts, whether it’s the passion for U.S. sports or following one’s favorite home country teams, leagues and players, we are keen to see what content is relevant to our audience to build an online hub.” Oliveros will continue enhancing the sports section and grow his team with reporters and bloggers.
