VPE Public Relations wins awards for McDonald’s work.

VPE Public Relations was recognized by two leading professional organizations this month for its work on national Hispanic campaigns on behalf of long-time client McDonald’s.

The agency was most recently awarded with two PRisms by the Los Angeles Public Relations Society of America Chapter (PRSA-LA) at the annual PRSA-LA awards banquet in Hollywood. VPE was awarded PRisms in the categories of Multicultural Communications Program – Business, for its Fiesta Tour Mcdonald’s Music Experience campaign, and 2009 Newsletter – Corporate Internal, for McFamilia, a quarterly bilingual internal McDonald’s publication. The agency also received an Award of Excellence for its McDonald’s Brings Fútbol Magic to its Hispanic Consumers campaign.

Earlier in the month, VPE received the PRemio Award for best Public Education campaign for its work with McDonald’s education initiative from the Hispanic Public Relations Association at the organization’s PRemio Awards and Scholarship Gala. McDonald’s was also named Corporation of the Year at the event.

In March, VPE was a finalist in the Multicultural Campaign of the Year category at the 2009 PRWeek Awards for its work with McDonald’s education initiative. In 2008 VPE also received a PR News Platinum PR Award and an HPRA PRemio for McDonald’s education initiative. In addition, VPE was selected for a 2008 PRSA-LA Award of Excellence for the McFamilia newsletter. VPE has served as McDonald’s national Hispanic agency of record since 1992.
