Valencia, Pérez & Echeveste’s (VPE) Social Marketing Division won EyeCare America’s account through a process that included a number of competitors. The agency will launch the statewide campaign in Florida to raise awareness of glaucoma among Hispanics and encourage them to call EyeCare America’s Glaucoma EyeCare Program for a referral and eye exam from one of EyeCare America’s 429 volunteer ophthalmologists who are based in Florida. The objective of the campaign is to prevent unnecessary vision loss in the Hispanic community.
“We are excited to have the right agency in place in order to move forward with this timely effort,” said Allison Neves, Director of Communications for EyeCare America. “With the growing number of Hispanics in this country, it became necessary for us to launch a comprehensive effort aimed specifically for this audience.”
Among the agency’s responsibilities will be to maximize EyeCare America’s Hispanic Awareness Month’s activities and promote January as Glaucoma Awareness Month.
