The War in Iraq en Español: Translating the War to a Spanish-language Audience Conference.

Media are invited to attend a panel discussion of journalists on how Spanish-language news outlets covered the war in Iraq. Subjects to be covered include:

How Spanish language media fared in covering the war on Iraq? What exclusives did they get that were missed by their English language colleagues?
What did they get wrong? How did their coverage affect the position of Spanish-speakers on the war? Did Spanish language media do its share of flag waving? And by the way, what is the correct translation of “smart bomb” into Spanish?
