WCBS-AM Yankees Radio Retains R.Paniagua Inc.

WCBS-AM Radio, Broadcaster of New York Yankees Spanish baseball on WKDM 1380AM, has hit a homerun by contracting marketing and sales consultant R. Paniagua Inc. (RPI) to market and sell the in-game advertising inventory to selected product categories.

Both enterprises have agreed to commence working together to promote the famous Yankees Bombers on Spanish-language radio. The New York Yankees, the #1 Sports Franchise in the World, continue to grow in the sports industry. And now, thanks to the experience of R. Paniagua Inc., more potential advertisers will have the opportunity to reach the local New York Latino community during the Yankees Spanish-language broadcasts.

Seven years ago RPI launched the Yankees Spanish and English broadcasts with MSG radio. Now it has partnered with one of Viacom’s corporate giants, WCBS-AM Radio to continue as its marketing, sales and cross promotion consultant, in order to further enhance the legacy of Latinos in baseball and secure new sponsors to make these broadcast even more successful. RPI will develop programs that will include Trade Reward and Consumer tie-ins.

In addition RPI has reached similar arrangements with the LA Dodgers and the Florida Marlins and are in discussions with other key teams in US MLB Latino Markets to create national buys for potential sponsors. The buys would include trade and consumer rewards for the sponsor’s regional needs.
