Wenrich – President & Executive Editor @ PODER Magazine.

Isaac Lee, Editor-in-Chief of Zoom Media Group, announced the appointment of Thomas (Tigre) Wenrich as PODER magazine’s new President and Executive Editor. Wenrich, former Vice President and Director in The Boston Consulting Group’s (BCG) Miami office, joins the magazine effective October 1, 2004.

Wenrich, a graduate of Stanford University, brings broad corporate consulting experience to his job at PODER. During his 16 years at BCG he worked with companies in the consumer products, industrial goods and financial services sectors to develop and implement strategies for competitive success. He has also written articles for the Wall Street Journal and the Harvard Business Review, among other publications. Prior to Miami, he worked in the firm’s offices in Mexico, Madrid and Los Angeles.

Tigre has lived and worked in Mexico and Spain, is fluent in Spanish, and is a talented writer. He is used to dealing with CEO’s — he’s more familiar with the board room than the newsroom, and for a magazine that targets the business elite, there is nothing better than having an expert on staff.”

In his new position as Executive Editor, Wenrich will oversee the editorial strategy and will be active in promoting the magazine. He also brings a deep knowledge of the U.S. Hispanic market, a key growth area for PODER. “I am really excited with this new challenge.
