WGBO Univision 66 takes home Eight Chicago/Midwest Emmy Awards.

WGBO Univision 66, the Chicago area’s premier Spanish-language television station, made history at this year’s 52nd Chicago/Midwest Emmy Awards with the highest number of wins in the market. Out of 14 nominations, WGBO took home eight awards, followed by Fox News with six awards and WGN (from Tribune Company) with five awards.

Outstanding Achievement for Sports Programs – Sports Segment/Feature (Award to the Producer/Reporter): La revancha del guerrero: Mariano E. Gielis, Reporter.
Outstanding Achievement for Announcements/Campaigns – News Promotion – Single Announcement or Campaign (Award to the Producer): Univision Chicago 15th Anniversary: Carlos H. Barrera, Helena Stella Boyd, Francisco Garcia, Marco Monge, Producers.
Outstanding Achievement for Individual Excellence On Camera: News – Reporter (Award to Reporter): Paula Gomez – Quest for Immigration Reform.
