Winglatino consolidates management.

Jackie Bird, President and CEO of Winglatino, announced that the agency has fortified its national presence and capabilities, consolidating the management of its New York and Los Angeles offices. Bird will now serve as President and CEO of both operations, which had until now been managed independently. 20-year industry veteran Jaime Ramírez has been designated as the new VP and General Manager for the West Coast office.

The synergies that result from this move will build a stronger profile for Winglatino in the nation’s two most important Hispanic markets. The agency has charted dynamic revenue growth of over 30%, driven both by new business and expansion of agency clients. In the last year, the agency consolidated all ATL and BTL assignments for Diageo spirits brands and won the Goya Foods account. The recent integration of the Los Angeles office also adds clients such as Time Warner Cable and British Petroleum’s Arco service stations and AM/PM convenience stores to Winglatino’s roster.

“While each office has great expertise and a proven track record across multiple disciplines, each one also possesses a unique talent base and profile. I look forward to more closely integrating the skill sets and product offering of both, for an expanded, even more competitive Winglatino agency brand,” said Bird.

With the addition of Jaime Ramírez as the new head of Winglatino Los Angeles, the company brings in a seasoned business-builder with over 20 years of experience in agency management, marketing, advertising, strategic development and account management in international and US markets.

Ramírez has worked in multi-national companies like Procter & Gamble, Lintas:Worlwide, JWT and Saatchi, as well as La Agencia de Orci in the US Hispanic markets, where he held various account service, business development and management positions.

The clients/brands to which he has provided marketing, strategic planning, research, insight and management leadership include AT&T, Coca-Cola, Kraft, Mattel, Procter & Gamble’s Ariel/Tide and Verizon, among others.

Of Ramírez’s appointment, Bird stated that “Jaime brings a combination of skills, market and industry knowledge, and entrepreneurial success that make him the perfect fit for managing and expanding our West Coast operations. We are delighted to have him on board.”

Bird added the LA office’s current team of VP and Account Group Director, Javier Prelooker, and VP and Creative Director, Claudia Volpi, will remain in their respective positions to provide continuity in managing client business, saying, “We are extremely proud of the creative work that the team has generated and anticipate even greater success in the future.”
