The World Domino Tournament ’05 @ The Las Vegas Hilton.

Domino teams from Mexico, USA, Spain, Venezuela, Puerto Rico, and the Dominican Republic will converge at “The World Domino Tournament ’05 @ The Las Vegas Hilton to compete for the $150,000 Grand Prize, the richest domino tournament ever.

The Las Vegas Hilton will be Latinized for a weekend of live Latin Music, fun, sun and plenty of great domino competition. Over 64 customized tables hand made in Hermosillo, Mexico will be the center of attraction where more than 256 teams that will put up $1,000 each to compete for the distinction of being the champion team and walking away with the $150,000 Grand Prize.

The Tournament action of the quarterfinals, semis and finals will be captured with seven one hour “reality” type shows that will present the contestants as they go through their routines in reaching the finals. These shows will be broadcast on a National Spanish TV station during the first quarter of 2006.

The World Domino Tournament at The Las Vegas Hilton is sanctioned by the World Domino Federation, as well as the Jamaica and Mexico Federation. “We are going to bring many of the global domino leaders together at this event in Las Vegas so that we can unite our efforts in developing this great sport”, said Eduard Petranas, president of the World Domino Federation based in Barcelona, Spain.
