WXTV Univision 41 wins 5 Emmy Awards

WXTV Univision 41 in New York won five Emmy awards at this year’s New York Emmy Awards ceremony. Every year, the prestigious New York Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS) honors excellence in broadcasting among the New York tri-state area industry’s elite.
 
“We are very proud to have Noticias Univision 41 (Univision 41 News) recognized for its excellence in journalism,” said Norma Morato, WXTV Univision 41’s News Director. “We have a dedicated news team who is passionate about maintaining our viewers informed; it is evident in the quality of our news coverage.”

Veteran reporters Alex Roland and Berenice Gartner have earned 12 and six Emmy awards, respectively. Univision 41 Al Despertar’s (Univision 41 at Dawn) morning co-anchor Merijoel Durán has been recognized by NATAS with three Emmys and reporter Mariela Salgado with two. This makes Casinelli’s first Emmy.
