XM Satellite Radio unveils schedule for 2006 FIFA World Cup from Germany.

XM Satellite Radio announced its final broadcast schedule for the 2006 FIFA World Cup from Germany. Aside from offering the most comprehensive coverage of the 2006 World Cup with news, analysis, and live English and Spanish play-by-play, XM is the ONLY place on radio (satellite or terrestrial) where U.S. fans can follow the 2006 World Cup in both English and Spanish.

XM’s 24-hour Spanish-language sports channel, XM Deportivo (XM 147), begins its around the clock World Cup coverage on June 5. Live play-by-play coverage from Germany on XM Deportivo starts on June 9, with Andres Cantor and some of the most respected and decorated names in soccer from the U.S., Mexico, Argentina, Colombia, and El Salvador.

Additionally, World Cup play-by-play coverage, news updates and analysis will be offered in English on XM’s dedicated English-speaking FIFA 2006 World Cup Soccer channel (XM 148), which goes live on June 5 with around the clock coverage.
