On Tuesday, October 30 the Latin Recording Academy® will hold an international press conference at the Conga Room in Los Angeles to announce the winners of the 2nd Annual Latin GRAMMY Awards which were cancelled due to the events of September 11. Nominated Latin artists will join Michael Greene, President/CEO of the Recording Academy® and Latin Recording Academy, and Enrique Fernandez, Senior Vice President and Executive Director of the Latin Recording Academy, in this much-anticipated event which will feature some of the biggest names in Latin music. Through an agreement with Yahoo! en Español, these announcements will be available to view from start to finish live and in real time only on the Web at www.latingrammy.yahoo.com.

Viewers on the Web will have the opportunity to see their favorite artists receive and accept their Latin GRAMMY Awards. The press conference, which begins at 10 a.m. PST when the first name is read, also will feature celebrity hosts and special performances by top honorees.

“After watching the talented nominees rehearse for their big night on September 11, it was clear there were several break-out performances in the making,” said Greene. “Now, thanks to our partnership with Yahoo!, music fans all over the world will have the opportunity to watch these amazing artists get the recognition they deserve.”
