Yahoo! en Español ( http://yahooenespanol.com ) unveiled its newly minted homepage, designed to improve the consumer experience and provide more integrated, streamlined and innovative ways to access network services.
“The message to Hispanics is ‘estamos escuchando’,” said Jorge Consuegra, General Manager of Yahoo! en Español. “We have refined the site around the needs of our online community and what we have learned about the wired Hispanic.”
New Features
The new home page comes complete with a cleaner interface and slicker tabs. It has an easier-to-use menu of Yahoo!’s services and products to help consumers find, shop and connect to fun, personal and useful information more quickly and effectively.
– Personal Assistant – allows direct access to essential Yahoo! services: Mail, Calendar, Notebook and Address Book
– “In Entertainment” module – Takes consumers to Hispanic centered community activities, including the current list of most played games (currently Dominoes) and also features Hispanic chat rooms and Inside Yahoo! highlights.
– “In the News” — The news section features content sources dedicated to information relative to the U.S. Hispanic market from La Opinion, La Raza, El Nuevo Día, Reuters and Notimex
– “Marketplace” — Takes consumers directly to the properties and services they want.
Marketplace news will include information from sections such as Shopping and Travel tailored to a U.S. Hispanic audience.
– Product Listings — A new prominently featured product listings section provides users with the tools they need to stay informed, connected and organized in a handy, user-friendly environment. Useful links include: Shop, Find, Connect, Organize, Fun and information
– New Icons and Logos – At the top of the home page, newly designed icons will take users directly to their favorite tools and services, such as My Yahoo!, Yahoo! Finance and Yahoo! Sports
– “New!” section — highlights the latest properties and product updates on Yahoo!
