Yahoo! Telemundo launches ‘Gana Mi Casa’.

Yahoo! Telemundo announced that it has launched “Gana Mi Casa” (My House Wins), a six-week made-for-broadband home improvement series set to premiere on June 25th on http://www.yahootelemundo.com/ganamicasa> . This on-demand online series, the first ever produced for Yahoo! Telemundo, is sponsored by GMC, a division of General Motors Corp., and will feature the Sierra pickup with segment-leading fuel economy, capability and power.

Inc. “Gana Mi Casa” delivers a multi-platform experience to GMC that seamlessly integrates broadcast television and online content with the GMC brand resulting in an innovative programming package made exclusively for the U.S. Hispanic market.”

“Partnering with Yahoo! Telemundo, GMC will showcase the Sierra’s performance and unmatched pickup luxury to Hispanic homes throughout the country, while delivering an original and break-through Spanish-language online product,” said Ayana Waddell, national brand assistant advertising manager, GMC.
Telemundo will air 60-second primetime vignettes to promote the online series and drive viewers to the show. Additionally, hit morning show “Cada Dia,” will feature the hosts of “Gana Mi Casa” and share video clips of the series beginning June 25th, while “Lo Dejo en Tus Manos,” Telemundo’s weekend home makeover show, already began promoting “Gana mi Casa” on June 3rd.
As part of the dual platform deal with GMC, Yahoo! Telemundo and Telemundo Network will also promote GMC’s existing sweepstakes on TV and online. The sweepstakes, which began January 1st, 2007, will run through the end of the year in both English and Spanish. GMC will award one lucky winner a grand prize consisting of a GMC vehicle and a $10,000 gift card from a home improvement retailer. Yahoo! Telemundo will also provide a link to the Spanish-language entry page on GMC’s website, while Telemundo Network will air 30-second promos for the sweepstakes on TV.
