Yates named VP Human Resources at Telemundo Station Group.

Telemundo Media announced it named Amy Yates to Vice President, Human Resources, Telemundo Station Group. Yates will report to Manuel Abud, President, Telemundo Station Group and Lisette Simón, Senior Vice President, Human Resources, Telemundo Media, and will be based in Miami.

In this role, Yates will oversee all human resources functions for Telemundo’s Owned & Operated Stations and National Sales Offices. She will support Abud and serve as the key liaison between corporate initiatives and the Telemundo Station Group. Yates also will provide guidance in leading the design and direction of company-wide processes for organization and talent development including succession planning, superior workforce development, key employee retention, organization design and change management.

“Amy’s extensive expertise in Human Resources and keen understanding of the Telemundo Media and NBCUniversal organizations make her the ideal candidate to lead the growth of our group of stations,” said Abud. “She will be an integral part of our executive team as we continue to invest in our stations across the country and develop our key talent to continue to super-serve our communities.”

Since 2006, Yates has worked as Director, Human Resources, General Electric Money and NBCUniversal/Telemundo in Chicago, Illinois and Dallas, Texas. She led and managed human resources functions including changing management initiatives, compensation analysis and planning, employee relations, training and development, and organizational design. She was responsible for leading the organizational diversity strategy while developing and implementing talent sourcing plans.
