Zubi Says Adiós To Masterfoods U.S.A.
August 20, 2005
Zubi Advertising announced the resignation of their Masterfoods U.S.A. account due to a steady decline in the client’s interest towards marketing to U.S. Hispanics.
“We are disappointed to have had to make this decision, especially with the success of all the programs we implemented for Masterfoods,” said Joe Zubizarreta, COO of Zubi. “By working with Masterfoods for the last six years we have gained extraordinary knowledge of Hispanic youth marketing as it relates to confectionery products, and we hope to use this experience to attract other clients that would be interested in reaching Hispanic teenagers, the fastest growing segment of the Hispanic market.”
The resignation of the Masterfoods account follows the March 2005 departure of Masterfoods’ Ethnic Marketing Manager Roberto Garcia, a position that has not been filled.
Since 1999, Zubi has developed national campaigns for Masterfoods brands including Snickers (which has won international festival recognition), M&Ms, Skittles, Starburst and most recently Twix. Zubi’s scope of work included account planning, creative development, production, and media planning.
