June 23, 2007
RL Public Relations & Marketing (RLPR) announced the promotion of Sandra Zuluaga to vice president for its New York office. In her new position, Sandra will continue to provide strategic client counsel and develop and execute Hispanic public relations campaigns for clients such as Heineken USA and GlaxoSmithKline, while contributing to RLPR’s business development efforts.
“Sandra is an exceptional Hispanic PR professional who has made a significant contribution to RLPR’s success, and I couldn’t be happier to reward her efforts with this much-deserved promotion,” said company founder and president, Roxana Lissa. “With her insight and expertise in multicultural marketing that covers consumer to healthcare, she continues to be an invaluable asset to both our agency and our roster of clients.”
Additionally, Sandra created and spearheaded the successful launch of Pantene’s Texturize line and concept among US Hispanics. During this campaign, she executed a national contest and in-salon initiative to position Pantene as a brand that caters to Latina women’s hair care needs. The program “Hairstylist that Shines in the Community” generated more than 1 billion impressions.
“This promotion is a great honor at this point in my career,” adds Sandra Zuluaga. “I feel very lucky to be part of such a talented group of professionals at RLPR. I look forward to continue to service our clients with outstanding PR campaigns and to help grow the agency in the years to come.”
Before joining RLPR in 2005, Sandra worked at Edelman Public Relations in their New York headquarters, servicing the Hispanic PR needs of several clients. Her media outreach to the Hispanic community resulted in many successful campaigns for clients including AstraZeneca, Roche, Schering-Plough, Goya and Home Shopping en Español.
