Hispanic Public Relations Association announces 2017 National Board of Directors

The Hispanic Public Relations Association (HPRA) voted to elect Yvonne Lorie—founder ReFresh PR and 2013 HPRA PRemio PR Achievement Award recipient— president of the 2017 National Board of Directors. Lorie served as president-elect of HPRA in 2016, after joining the national board in 2014 where she served as Secretary and then VP of Programming.

My ‘AHAA’ Hispanic Marketing Moment

This week, I was honored to be named to the board of AHAA, the Association of Hispanic Advertising Agencies. Having co-founded a Hispanic advertising agency over 15 years ago, I see the opportunity to serve on AHAA’s board as a huge aha moment in my Hispanic marketing career.

AHAA Tackles Hispanic Measurement and Modeling Gaps to Improve ROI

An industry-wide initiative, led by the trade group AHAA: The Voice of Hispanic Marketing, is working with leading measurement data providers including Nielsen, IRI, Comscore and others to assess and recalibrate their Hispanic sampling representation and measurement methodologies. By improving these key metrics, marketers will be able to more accurately measure Hispanic audiences across screens, estimate their purchases and evaluate Hispanic ROI regardless of language or media.

NAMIC announces Winners Of The 2016 Excellence In Multicultural Marketing Awards

The National Association for Multi-ethnicity in Communications (NAMIC) announced the winners of its Excellence in Multicultural Marketing Awards (EMMA). Presented in conjunction with the Annual NAMIC Conference, the competition recognizes excellence in marketing efforts designed to attract and retain culturally diverse audiences and customers among African American, Asian, Hispanic, LGBTQ and other market segments.

ANA announces 2016 Multicultural Excellence Awards Finalist

More than 30 companies were named as finalists in 12 separate categories. Grand prize winners in each category will be announced at a ceremony during the ANA’s 18th Annual Multicultural Marketing & Diversity Conference, October 9–11 in Los Angeles. ANA Multicultural Excellence Award Winners – Catching up with Kimberly-Clark

In September 2012, Lizette Williams (pictured), multicultural marketing leader, North America started her multicultural marketing journey at Kimberly-Clark Corporation and has been on quite the ride ever since. Not long after joining Kimberly-Clark, Lizette attended her first ANA Multicultural Marketing & Diversity Conference and then in 2015 co-hosted it! That year the Kimberly-Clark team was the ANA Multicultural Excellence Awards Grand Prize winner in the Radio and People with Disabilities categories.
