With just 3 days and 8 games into the month-long, 64 game tournament, the Univision Television Network’s exclusive Spanish-language coverage of the FIFA World Cup Germany 2006 is breaking audience records in all key demographics and setting the pace to become the most-watched World Cup in U.S. history.

Grupo Televisa, S.A. stated that a number of press reports over the last several weeks have quoted Univision’s President and Chief Operating Officer as saying that there is a “difference of opinion” as to whether Univision holds Internet rights to Televisa’s programming. If these press reports accurately reflect any such comment or view of Univision, it would be entirely without basis.

Mega TV prepares for the long-awaited exclusive television broadcast of the “Viva Romance” concert, which will air this Thursday, June 8th at 9 p.m. “Viva Romance” is part of the Mega Especiales series, broadcasted only on Mega TV, the television destination for the best of the best in music and entertainment. “Viva Romance” was produced by sister station “Romance 106.7,” the leader of romantic music in Miami.

LIN TV Corp. announced that it is exploring a sale of its television broadcasting assets in Puerto Rico and the related cable network in the United States.

Univision Communications has filed with the SEC the severance packages that Vice Chairman Robert Cahill, President Ray Rodriguez, Chief Financial Officer Andrew Hobson and General Counsel Douglas Kranwinkle would received should the company be sold and they are dismissed “without cause” or due to a “change in control.
