Almost all Millennials accept interracial dating & marriage.

Over the last several decades, the American public has grown increasingly accepting of interracial dating and marriage. This shift in opinion has been driven both by attitude change among individuals generally and by the fact that over the period, successive generations have reached adulthood with more racially liberal views than earlier generations.

Statistical Portrait of Hispanics in the United States – 2008 – Update.

This statistical profile of the Latino population is based on Pew Hispanic Center tabulations of the Census Bureau’s 2008 American Community Survey (ACS).

Despite the perceived hardships of the economy – Hispanics are more hopeful.

The findings show that even though Hispanics and non-Hispanics agree that the U.S. economy is going in the wrong direction (52% vs. 51%, respectively), Hispanics look at the future through a more positive lens compared to non-Hispanics: a total of 56% of non-Hispanics expect to be better off economically or financially a year from now vs. 46% of non-Hispanics.

Most view Census positively – Some have doubts.

As the federal government gears up for its decennial count of the country’s population, most Americans think the census is very important and say they will definitely participate. But acceptance of and enthusiasm for the census are not universal.

Polk Announces Automotive Loyalty Winners.

Toyota and Honda took top honors in R. L. Polk & Co.’s 14th Annual Automotive Loyalty Awards, which were presented this evening at the 2010 Automotive News World Congress in Detroit. Four new awards were presented including the Most Improved Loyalty to Make, which was won by Audi. In addition, three new ethnic loyalty awards were presented.

Blacks Upbeat about Black Progress.

Despite the bad economy, blacks’ assessments about the state of black progress in America have improved more dramatically during the past two years than at any time in the past quarter century, according to a comprehensive new nationwide Pew Research Center survey on race.

Arbitron denied MRC Accreditation in 18 Markets.

Arbitron has been notified that the MRC will deny accreditation to PPM services in the following local markets: Atlanta, Baltimore, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Detroit, Los Angeles, New York, Miami, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Pittsburgh, St. Louis, San Diego, Seattle, Tampa-St. Petersburg, and Washington, DC. Further, the MRC closed without action audits for two California markets (San Francisco and San Jose) and these two markets remain unaccredited. Arbitron will collaborate with the MRC to re-audit each of these markets in 2010.
