The Women and Leadership Conference, organized by Newsweek Magazine, included four Latinas, two of them from the marketing and communications industry: Daisy Exposito-Ulla, former Chairman of the Bravo Group and Christy Haubegger, founder of Latina Magazine and now Creative Artists’ Agency. Exposito-Ulla and Haubegger participated in the Newsweek Advisory Committee.

Girl Scouts Encourages Young Latinas To Stay Connected.

About 500 Girl Scouts, family members and volunteers have joined forces to address the specific needs of young Latinas at Girl Scouts of the USA’s fifth National Latina Conference, which took place July 14 through July 17 in Uniondale, N.Y. in partnership with Girl Scouts of Nassau County. The 2005 National Latina Conference is sponsored by Bank of America and has the theme “Connect to Friends, Family and Envision the Future.”

For someone apparently away from the business, advertising icon Daisy Exposito-Ulla keeps herself pretty busy. As Ad Age recently put it, the former leader of the Bravo Group – who shook the industry with her resignation last November – has kept herself involved with advertising organizations and participating in major marketing events.
