Keeping Those That Need ‘A Little Joy In Their Lives’ Top of Mind!

As the holidays came and went, a growing tradition, created by d expósito & Partners, is to have the Three Kings visit the families of The Ronald McDonald House of New York, a facility that offers children with cancer and their families, shelter and support while they undergo treatment. The Three Kings – Gaspar, Melchior and Balthazar were represented by employees from d expósito & Partners – Daniel Gergely, Adrián Jordán and Wilson Guzmán.

Conagra employees Step-Up.

I work for Conagra – although not exactly an ad or media agency, we do have a dedicated Hispanic team, which I am part of, and we have done something really nice for the Hispanic community close to our offices. So my letter to you is to recognize all the 30 Conagra employees that volunteer with me to sponsor a Mobile Food Pantry in Aurora IL. We managed to help 223 Hispanic families that would not otherwise have had access to food, as there is not pantry in their area. We did it last September in celebration of Hispanic Heritage month.

Like many other Americans I was inspired by the “We are One” concert in Washington, D.C. on the eve of Barack Obama’s presidential inauguration. The setting, with the Washington and Lincoln monuments as backdrop, was impressive in a down to earth sort of way that only our nation can be. It was an entertaining occasion as stars like Tom Hanks, Tiger Woods, and Denzel Washington enriched the evening with great American stories of past presidents as well as of everyday heroes. All those watching could feel their chests swell with pride in being part of this ambitious civic experiment called America

The most significant part of the evening, and rightfully so given the historic proportion of Obama’s election, was the overwhelming reign of African American culture throughout the concert. The soulful veil of R&B and gospel that imbued most of the evening’s musical performances affirmed something many already know, that African American culture has been one of the strongest defining element
