NAHP signs with Association Management Group.

The National Association of Hispanic Publications Inc., (NAHP, Inc.) announced the selection of Association Management Group as the trusted firm to take over the daily management of their organization. NAHP, Inc. will transition management effective immediately with a contract start date of July 2007. Moving from a stand-alone association to an association management company model enables NAHP, Inc. to turn over day-to-day operational activities to AMG association experts, allowing the volunteer leadership to focus on the important issues of members and the growth of the association.

Hispanic Agencies shine at 2007 ADDY Awards.

The American Advertising Federation (AAF) honored the exceptional work of the 2007 ADDY Award winners. The ADDY Awards are the world’s largest, and arguable toughest advertising competition, presenting both professional and student advertising. This year’s gala event took place during the AAF National Conference 2007, June 7–9, in Louisville, Ky.

In an effort to offer the latest information, trends and insight into the exploding diversity marketplace, the Cabletelevision Advertising Bureau (CAB) has launched its new online Diversity Marketing Center.

AHAA asks State Senators considering industry position in immigration debate.

Dear Honorable Senator: I am writing on behalf of the membership of The Association of Hispanic Advertising Agencies ( AHAA ), which represents 98 percent of the U.S. Hispanic advertising, marketing and media firms and more than $5 billion in corporate spending to reach the Latino community in America . Given the immigration debate we are compelled to reiterate our view on the importance of immigrants as contributors to our nation’s economy.

AHAA announces archive chronicling the Industry.

Pioneers in Hispanic advertising, marketing and broadcasting gathered to announce the formation of the AHAA Archive of Hispanic Marketing to preserve the industry’s past and provide a path to the future. The archive, sponsored by the Association of Hispanic Advertising Agencies (AHAA), will be housed at the Library of American Broadcasting on the University of Maryland campus in College Park.
