According to the results of a new survey on the future of outcome-based metrics and tools for marketing effectiveness, two-thirds (67%) of consumer packaged goods (CPG) marketers say that return on ad spend (ROAS) is the most significant advertising key performance indicator for their business today – followed by 16% indicating target audience reach was most critical, purchase intent (10%) and clicks and online engagement (7%). More than half of Americans in their 40s are ‘sandwiched’ between an aging parent and their own children

As people are living longer and many young adults are struggling to gain financial independence, about a quarter of U.S. adults (23%) are now part of the so-called “sandwich generation,” according to a Pew Research Center survey conducted in October 2021.
