GolTV has secured the exclusive broadcast rights to three pre-season summer matches and tournaments that will include top teams from England, Germany, Italy and Spain. GolTV will air the Champions League winner Bayern Munich from Bundesliga vs. the top ranking team from La Liga, Barcelona FC in The Uli Hoeneß Cup; the Chelsea Asia Tour that will début Jose Mourinho, formerly with Real Madrid, in his new role as the Chelsea manager; and the Tim Trophy which will feature Italy’s Serie A top teams: Juventus, AC Milan and first time Serie A team, Sassuolo.

Estrella TV adds affiliation With Cocola Broadcasting in Boise ID.
Estrella TV continues to grow its affiliation line-up by adding KZAK-TV (Boise, Idaho) and renewing KMBY-TV (Monterey, California). Both local stations are owned and operated by Cocola Broadcasting, one of the first station groups to sign with Estrella TV as part of its launch.

Azteca America and Coors Light have partnered to present the champions of the Liga MX, Club America, as they take on Puebla F.C. in a tournament match on Friday, July 12, at 7:30pm PDT at the Spartan Stadium in San Jose, California. The Spartan Stadium has hosted numerous FIFA events and was one of the venues for the 1999 Woman’s World Cup. The game will be aired live on Azteca America at 10:30 pm EDT/ 7:30 pm PDT.
Global Mobile Advertising Revenues surge 82.8% in 2012. [REPORT]
The U.S. IAB Mobile Marketing Center of Excellence, IAB Europe and IHS revealed that global figures for mobile advertising revenue leaped a massive 82.8 percent to $8.9 billion (€6.9 billion) in 2012 from $5.3 billion (€3.8 billion) in 2011 – highlighting a strong positive growth story taking place across mobile advertising formats.

By Enrique Turegano / Al Punto I saw an ad on Univision for an SUV…nice ad. But the VO caught me off guard. It was the poem by Antonio Machado and famous song by Juan Manuel Serrat, “Caminante No Hay Camino”. Great song, great poem…but I wonder how much it connects with US Hispanics….mostly US Mexicans. Do they even know it? Is it important to them? Does it connect emotionally like it does for Spaniards and some South Americans? Probably NOT. Here’s my guess:
1) The creative in charge is from Spain.
2) The creative in charge is a JM Serrat fan.

Entravision and Abacast form Digital Audio Partnership.
Under the agreement, Entravision will leverage the Abacast Clarity Digital Radio System as its online streaming solution for 42 of its radio stations, and the companies will jointly offer the Abacast Clarity Digital Radio System to Entravision’s 300 affiliated radio stations. Entravision Solutions will also partner with the Abacast Digital Ad Sales Network to focus on expanding digital ad sales for the Latino market.
