Marketers’ current and future use of Social Media.
Social media has become a web and mobile juggernaut, attracting and engaging hundreds of millions of users to create profiles and engage in online dialogues. As a result, social media sites are now a primary platform for generating and sharing content. Social media is becoming an even more integral part of the marketing landscape. According to a June 2010 survey by King Fish Media, HubSpot and Junta42, 72% of US companies said they had a social media strategy.
The three companies surveyed 457 US marketers and managers; 52% of respondents were in the publishing, media, advertising and marketing industries.

Number of U.S. TV HHs climbs by One Million for 2010-11 TV Season.
For the 2010-2011 broadcast season, Nielsen estimates the total number of TV households in the U.S. will climb to 115.9 million, an increase of one million homes from last year. Nielsen also estimates an increase of more than two million persons age two and older (P2+) in U.S. TV households, for a total of 294,650,000 people.
Over 1M Puerto Ricans watched the FIFA World Cup 2010.
A significant number of islanders watched the FIFA World Cup this year, according to this week’s CARIBBEAN BUSINESS/WOSO Radio/Gaither International poll. The survey, which consisted of 1,527 face-to-face interviews with a margin of error of +/-2.51, asked respondents to what extent, if at all, they had followed this year’s FIFA World Cup.
