V-me TV Network launches to bring the Best of Public Television.
Beginning in March 2007, V-me, a new, national Spanish-language television network will bring the best of public television to Latino viewers. Through its relationships with world-class content producers and a unique partnership with American public television stations, V-me (pronounced veh-meh) will offer a fresh alternative in Spanish television that engages, entertains, empowers and inspires its viewers.
Online TV revenues to increase tenfold.
New research from Informa Telecoms & Media shows that legitimate online TV and video services will generate revenues of US$6.3 billion in 2012, almost ten times the 2006 figure. Advertising will consistently outperform a la carte and subscription-based services in terms of revenue generation and North America will be the largest revenue-generating region, accounting for 65% of the 2012 global total.
Online’s ad spending share growing to 20 %.
Outsell, Inc. has just released its second annual report on ad spending, forecasting U.S. advertising to grow 5.8 percent in 2007. The comprehensive national study of advertisers, who control about $6.5 billion of spending, shows that companies plan to increase their online spending by 18 percent this year, faster than for any other major media type.
