Univision Communications Inc. has named veteran broadcast executive Jose Valle to the position of president of Univision Radio, the leading Spanish-language radio broadcaster in the U.S. The appointment is effective immediately and was announced today by Peter Walker, president of Univision Local Media.

Alfredo Alonso – Senior Vice President of Clear Channel Hispanic Radio who helped establish the company’s Hispanic focused radio formats in key markets left the company at the end of 2010.
Industry insiders speculate that Clear Channel will be reducing the number of Hispanic focused radio stations in their line-up.

Arbitron Inc. announced that the Media Rating Council, Inc. (MRC) has withdrawn its accreditation for the Company’s RADAR (Radio’s All Dimension Audience Research) and Nationwide network and national radio audience services.
