ESPN Deportes teamed up with music giants Gilberto Santa Rosa and Johnny Ventura to kick off the network’s 2010 Winter Baseball coverage. Inspired by the 1990s popular tropical song, “Botaron la Pelota,” by Gilberto Santa Rosa, the two colossal stars come together to remake exclusive music videos as part of ESPN Deportes’ marketing campaign to promote the coverage of winter baseball that kicks off with the coverage of the Dominican Baseball League Nov. 5.

The Arbitron Custom Study of Fútbol De Primera 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa : PPM Radio Listening for Spanish Language World Cup Soccer in the United States covered pre, half and post game shows as well as in Game, Play-by-Play estimates from Group Matches, Round of 16, Quarter Finals, Semi Finals, 3rd Place Match and the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa Final from June 11, to July 11, 2010.

Increased Viewership, Online Visits and Ad Engagement among World Cup Highlights.

The FIFA World Cup ended more than two months ago, but insights about the impact of that global soccer tournament on consumer behavior continue to flow in. At a special panel this morning devoted to the World Cup, Nielsen reported that within the 31 countries where it measures television viewing, more than half of all potential viewers, or about 500 million people, watched at least part of the games.
