Telemundo Communications Group revealed that its upcoming telecast of the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, China will be the best ad-supported broadcast of the Olympics in the network’s history. Telemundo has signed on major national advertisers across all categories including AT&T, Coca-Cola, Farmers Insurance, Mexico Tourism Board, Target and U.S. Navy. Locally, the games will be sponsored by AT&T and Chevron.

ESPN Deportes presents record-breaking VI World Domino Championship.

ESPN Deportes and the World Domino Federation presented the VI World Domino Championship at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort in Orlando, Fla. Thursday, July 10 – Saturday, July 12. This year’s championship broke the Guinness World Record for “Most People Playing Dominoes,” with 332 players helping surpass the previous record of 300. The three-day event gathered over 554 domino enthusiasts, with representation from nine countries from Latin America, Canada, Portugal, Spain, Russia and the United States.

The EURO2008 final delivered a 10.08 Hispanic household coverage rating (357,000 households) and delivered 647,000 Hispanic viewers.

Next summer, FDP will carry all of the excitement of the highly-anticipated tournament on its Radio Network of 85 affiliate stations, including a record 25 FMs, covering almost 90% of the Hispanic market in the U.S.
