Telemundo Communications Group Inc. announced that the network will hold its Upfront presentation on May 17, 2011 at 6pm EST, in New York at the American Museum of Natural History, in the museum’s LeFrak IMAX Theater.

Bargueiras named GM at Discovery Networks U.S. Hispanic Group.

Discovery Latin America/U.S. Hispanic (DLA/USH) announced the appointment of Ivan Bargueiras to the position of General Manager for Discovery Networks U.S. Hispanic Group. In his new role, Bargueiras is charged with leading the business expansion within the company’s portfolio of Spanish-language networks, including Discovery en Español and Discovery Familia.

Meruelo Group to acquire KWHY-TV in LA.

The Meruelo Group has reached an agreement to acquire KWHY-TV, an NBCU-owned television station in Los Angeles, California, it was announced by Meruelo, NBCU and Bahia Honda LLC. The acquisition is subject to approval by the Federal Communications Commission.

Vme to hold 2011 Upfront on May 19th in NYC.

Vme will host its 2011 upfront on May 19th from 10:30am – 1:00pm at the Samsung Experience in New York.
