Migdalia Figueroa named VP of Content for the Telemundo Station Group.

Telemundo announced that Migdalia Figueroa has been promoted to Vice President of Content for the Telemundo Station Group. Previously, Figueroa was Vice President of Content at WSCV Telemundo 51.

Telemundo & RTI to export TV productions from Colombia.

Telemundo Communications Group (Telemundo) and Colombian television production pioneers, Radio Television Interamericana S.A. (RTI), reached an agreement to create a new entity called Producciones RTI S.A.S. that will produce television content in Colombia for export to the US and the rest of the world.

According to Nielsen Media Research, Telemundo solidified its position as the fastest- growing network among all major broadcast networks regardless of language in general market prime (Mon-Sat 8-11PM & Sun 7-11PM) among Adults 18-49 (up 17%, +96,000) and Adults 18-34 (up 22%, +70,000).

Telemundo to include 2010 Census storyline in Telenovela.

As part of Telemundo’s partnership with the 2010 Census, the Hispanic television network has written a census storyline into their popular telenovela “Más Sabe El Diablo.” Media are invited to attend a question-and-answer session about the census storyline and the 2010 Census partnership.

LBC’s ‘Immigrant Archive Project’ joins forces with the US Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.

Miami based Latino Broadcasting Company has reach an agreement with the US Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC) to air segments of their highly acclaimed Immigrant Archive Project that will be aired beginning January 2010 in the USHCC television program Hispanics Today that aires national across general market television stations.
