Turner Classic Movies to look at Latino Images in film.
Marking the fourth in an ongoing series of film festivals exploring Hollywood’s portrayal of different racial groups, Turner Classic Movies (TCM) will turn its spotlight on the cinematic depiction of Latinos. Throughout the month of May, TCM’s RACE AND HOLLYWOOD: LATINO IMAGES IN FILM will showcase 40 films, past and present, that show the progression of how Latino characters and culture are depicted in cinema.

Telemundo announced the launch of ”Hazte Contar!” (Be Counted!), a national initiative designed to increase awareness of the 2010 Census among U.S. Hispanics and increase their participation in this significant national process. The company-wide, year-long campaign will kick off on-air on April 1, 2009, and encompass all of Telemundo’s properties across its broadcast (network and stations), cable and digital platforms.

(SBS)announced that it has entered into a sales representation agreement with Spanish Television Sales (STS) to have the Company represent SBS’ leading Mega TV properties. STS will be responsible for advertising sales in all Mega TV markets across the country, including Puerto Rico, West Palm Beach and their newest affiliate in Las Vegas.
