Don Browne, who has served as Telemundo chief operating officer since May 2003, has been promoted to president; and Telemundo President and CEO Jim McNamara, whose contract is expiring, has stepped down to pursue outside production opportunities.

On Tuesday, April 5 at 7PM (ET\PT) Telemundo will premiere “Amarte Asi,” a family-friendly story centered on a boy’s search for a father, and the impossible love between his parents. This new Telemundo original production starring Litzy, Mauricio Ochmann and introducing Alejandro Felipe Flores as the charming Frijolito, is a love story seen through the eyes of a small boy.
Univision Stations Win Ed Murrow Award.
Univision Communications Inc. announced that three of its owned-and-operated stations – KMEX-TV, Los Angeles, WXTV-TV, New York and KTVW-TV, Phoenix – were each recognized for excellence in journalism, receiving the prestigious Radio-Television News Directors Association’s (RTNDA) Edward R. Murrow Award for Outstanding News Series.
