Premier Maldonado passes.

Advertising industry pioneer Premier Maldonado passed away Saturday in San Juan.

The founder of the advertising agency that still bears his name, Premier Maldonado was known for his avant garde thinking which resulted in him handling almost every major advertising and public relations account at some time over the years.

A creative visionary who was often thought to be ahead of his times, Maldonado was credited with bringing his industry into the next level in Puerto Rico.

HispanicAd.com spoke with Paco Olavarrieta a partner in the agency this morning and he indicated that the agency is not closed and that someone is spreading vicious rumors. Attorneys at MDC Partners and Adrenalina a furious and will issue letters to other trade journals that reported the closing expecting a withdrawal and apology. This is all about an old fashion rumble and beer fight.

MillerCoors announced that San Antonio-based Bromley Communications won the competitive pitch to become its Hispanic media planning and buying agency of record. Bromley will lend its Hispanic media planning and buying expertise to MillerCoors within the newly formed dedicated media unit, MC Media. MC Media also consists of Draftfcb, Initiative and Kinetic.
