New jersey Attorney General Anne Milgram announced that the state has issued a subpoena to Arbitron, the monopoly provider of ratings services to U.S. radio stations, concerning allegations that its new method for measuring radio station listenership in New Jersey is flawed, statistically unreliable and undercounts the listening habits of minority consumers.

Conill wins Top Honors at 10th Annual Creative Awards.

The biggest winner at Advertising Age’s 10th annual Hispanic Creative Advertising Awards show on Sept. 12 was Hispanic agency Conill, with prizes for Toyota Motor Sales, Procter & Gamble and T-Mobile, including the Best of Show award for Toyota’s “Is That the Lineman?” campaign.

Young Creatives win to go to Cannes.

The winners of the Print competition, going on to represent our market at Cannes in 2009 are: GREY AREA by Franco Caballero and Sasha Vazquez of Bromley Communications. Franco won the prize in last year’s competition as well. And Sasha has also previously won.

And for the second year in a row, the winners of the Film competition going on to represent us again in Cannes 2009 are: Nicky Angelino and Flavia Stefani of the Vidal Partnership with their piece A Little Buzzed.

The third annual HispanicAd.com Account Planning Excelencia (HAPE) awards were presented to 6 winners in four categories and two recognitions.
