As marketers embrace new media platforms, social media and viral videos have seen the largest jump in ranking, according to a survey done by the ANA (Association of National Advertisers), BtoB Magazine and in partnership with marketing services firm ‘mktg.’

Advertisers much more likely than Consumers to believe in Power of Twitter.

What are you doing? It seems like everyone, especially in the media, is answering that question in 140 characters or less with a “tweet” and letting their “followers” know what they are up to each hour of the day. Accessing the internet is for many Americans now a multiplatform affair. Just a few years ago, desktop or laptop computers were typical onramps to the internet for the tech-oriented crowd. The digerati, already accustomed to lugging their laptops around in search of ports for their Ethernet cables, rushed to equip their computers with wireless cards so they could take advantage of WiFi links to the net.

As we’re about to put our first wise Latina on the U.S. Supreme Court, it is somewhat serendipitous that I’d been planning for some time to write about the U.S. Hispanic online marketplace. It is an interesting and fast-growing space, distinctly different from the general market, and too, distinctly different from offline U.S. Hispanic media marketplaces.
