Digital Coupon Users spend 42% more annually than Average Shoppers. [REPORT]

A new GfK report, based on over 120 campaigns run by Coupons.com in 2012, shows that digital coupon users spend 42% more per year at supermarkets than the average shopper – a differential of $1,029. This reflects a 7% increase compared to 2011.

The mobile marketing ecosystem generated $139 billion of incremental output to the U.S. economy in 2012, a significant surge from $48 billion in net sales previously reported in 2010. Over the next five years, this figure is set to skyrocket to $400 billion representing an annual growth rate of 52 per cent. To accurately assess mobile’s economic impact, both consumer (B2C) and business (B2B) mobile sales were measured against total U.S. sales in 2012, approximately $33 trillion. The data was reported in the “MMA Mobile Marketing Economic Impact Study,” commissioned by the Mobile Marketing Association (MMA).

In a joint partnership with comScore, BabyCenter has revealed new insights surrounding moms’ adoption and usage of social platforms across all devices. Today, moms are 20% more likely to use social media than the general population. Ninety-one percent of moms now use social media regularly – a 20% increase since 2010. And they expect their friends and family to use it too. In fact, 22% of moms say that if friends or family don’t participate in social media, they are not as much a part of their lives.
