Internet Ad Revenues for 2010 increase 15%.
The IAB Internet Advertising Revenue Report for the full year 2010 and Q4 2010 both showed record results in the United States. Released by the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) and prepared by PwC US, the latest report puts all 2010 Internet advertising revenues at a record $26 billion, up 15% from 2009. Fourth quarter revenue also hit new highs at $7.45 billion, up 16% from Q4 2009 and 19% from Q3 2010.

According to a new report from The Nielsen Company that looks at family dynamics, media and purchasing behavior trends, American households are getting smaller, growing more slowly and becoming more ethnically diverse than at any point in history. Diversity in all its dimensions defines the emerging American Family archetype, with no single cultural, social, demographic, economic or political point of view dominating the landscape. In short, Ward and June Cleaver have left the building. Motorola and Verizon Wireless lead Mobile Categories.
As mobile networks engage in a very public ad campaign war, Verizon is named the Mobile Networks Brand of the Year among consumers according to the 2011 Harris Poll EquiTrend study. In the Mobile Networks category, Verizon is highest ranked for the second-year running over archrival AT&T. Harris Interactive announced their Technology Brands of the Year in four other major categories: Mobile Phones (Motorola), Consumer Electronics (Sony), Computer Hardware (HP), and Gaming (Nintendo). Overall, awards are given in each of 46 different categories.

Companies that post content on their Facebook pages outside normal business hours see engagement rates that are 20% higher than average, according to new data from Facebook marketing software company Buddy Media.
Don Browne announces departure from NBCUniversal
NBCUniversal executive Don Browne, who will be 68 in May, has announced his plans to retire from the company. Browne has served since 2005 as President of NBCUniversal’s Spanish-language media company Telemundo Communications Group, following an extensive career with NBC News in New York and Miami. Browne’s last day will be June 3, the eighth anniversary of his arrival at Telemundo as the network’s Chief Operating Officer.
