Florida AG sues Arbitron over PPM.
Florida Attorney General Bill McCollum filed a lawsuit against Arbitron, Inc., seeking to block the release of flawed radio station ratings. The lawsuit states that Arbitron’s sampling methodology produces unreliable ratings that significantly undercount minority listeners and has thus failed to achieve accreditation in most markets.

Jose Chavez “J-Si” is the latest crew member of the syndicated morning show Kidd Kraddik in the Morning. Born in Mexico City, JC moved to California in 1991. He had aspirations of becoming a nurse until he accidentally fell into radio working as an intern in San Diego. He liked it so much he decided to make it a career. According to Inside Radio, Univision stations in Miami, Phoenix and San Diego have received PPM pre-currency reports. But something was noticeably absent — data regarding stations owned by outspoken PPM critic Univision. Frustrated with the pace of improvement, it has refused to encode.
