The month of April may portend a revolutionary or at least an evolutionary change in the landscape and structure of the US Spanish language television industry.

Barring an unlikely settlement or a request for extension of the scheduled court date on April 29th, Grupo Televisa, the Mexican based multimedia and entertainment company and world’s largest producer of Spanish language television will have its day in court regarding its former partner Univision, the leading Spanish language media company in the US.

Terra Networks and Warner Music announced a partnership to present the DVD release of “Arde el Cielo con Maná”. The exclusive bilingual online programming will provide consumers a unique and unprecedented in-depth artist experience at Terra.com, including contests, photo galleries, community pages, blogs, webisodes of exclusive interviews and much more.

It’s all about engagement.

At the recent Virtual Worlds Conference held in New York, a keynote speaker asked the crowd of a few hundred for a show of hands. About a third of the attendees represented kids’ brands, a third were with virtual world companies and a third were vendors of software and other technology.
