Total advertising expenditures increased 3 percent in 2012 and finished the year at $140 billion, according to data released today by Kantar Media, the leading provider of strategic advertising and marketing information. Ad spending during the fourth quarter of 2012 rose 2 percent versus the year ago period.

Brand Adoption of Dynamic Rich Media Ads expected to Increase by 70%. [REPORT]
The survey found that 51 percent of ad agencies have seen an increase in client demand for dynamic rich media ads and another 20 percent expect to see more interest in 2013. This demand in-part is due to standardized ad formats, like the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) large canvas “Rising Stars,” and also the decline in interest in static ads, as noted by Forrester.
