Super Bowl XLVII most-viewed TV Show on record among Hispanic viewers.

Super Bowl XLVII ranks as the most-viewed show on record among Hispanic Americans reaching a total audience of 17.7 million Hispanic viewers, based on Nielsen demographic data (available since 1994). In addition, Super Bowls rank as the top five and six of the top seven most-viewed shows among Hispanic Americans.

Univision Deportes & ESPN collaborate to increase El Tri Power in the USA.

Univision Deportes and ESPN have formalized an alliance to increase the reach of the Mexican National Soccer Team (nicknamed “El Tri”) in the U.S. The agreement grants ESPN’s English-language networks and digital platforms the media rights to Mexico’s home FIFA World Cup qualifying matches and international friendlies. The English-language coverage will complement Univision’s Spanish-language coverage of the Mexican Team on broadcast, cable and interactive platforms.

ESPN Deportes will also carry the entire series on ESPN Deportes +, the Spanish-language programming extension of ESPN3.

SuperGol Show scores Quick ‘Gol’.

The recently launched SuperGol, a fast-paced, one-hour daily Spanish soccer show targeting young Latinos, scored its 25th affiliate. The show started on KWKW ESPN Deportes Los Angeles in order to meet the growing demand of US-born Latinos. Due to strong listener response, Lotus Communications Corp. decided to take it national.

Since it’s introduction in 1993, the most famous MMA organizations have exploded and evolved into an empire of pay-per-view fights and large arena events, as well as a lifestyle industry, complete with clothing lines, fighter appearances and dramatic rivalries. Its most famous Latino star is Mexican-American fighter Cain Velasquez. With pride for their humble roots and Hispanic heritage, Velasquez and other Hispanic fighters have helped boost support from the growing Hispanic Millennial populace.
